17th April, quick pedal around the block!

Inbetween showers there was a brief dry spell which we took advantage of. We are both unkeen on getting wet, in the extreme so waiting for some dry time was paramount to us. Its our age, I think.
We start with a nice 3/4 mile gentle downhill before heading left down a country lane, round a very tight bend with a lot of muck and gravel on it, so we tend to creep around as hitting that at any speed would see us sliding on our backsides around the bend and tractors use that road!
Along a bit more until we meet a T junction where we go right and past Carleton Forhoe church until we go right again and back on to our main road and home.

Just wanted to turn our wheels really. We had just got the bikes back into our storage place when the weather turned and it slatted it down. We got soaked walking the 10 metres back to our home. If we’d cycled a tiny bit faster, we would have got home dry. Heigh ho.

About RosieRosie

RosieRosie is a woman of a 'certain age' - whatever the hell that is supposed to mean, known. I feel about 26. I have no idea what I look like as some older woman keeps getting in the way when I look in the mirror. Technically separated now and I'm just waiting for him to move out into his own place. I have a proper wanderlust and have finally moved - using the housing exchange system from - where I started in Inverness, down to Cornwall and back up to the Flatlands and Big Sky Country. It's taken since September 2011, when I left Inverness until May 2017 to get to somewhere that I really like. That's not too shoddy with a swap here and a swap there, saving up again for each move. Not ruling out going home to Norfolk if necessary. Time will tell. For now my mates are just a 90 minute or so, drive down the road. I love my bikes, I love my dogs and I love guitars. They all keep my busy.
